What’s Happening in Clarksville This Month?

There are many exciting things happening in Clarksville,TN and surrounding areas this month. As Clarksville grows, so does the list of activities stemming from new businesses and local organizations.

Whether you are looking for a date night for you and your sweetie or a family day out, we have date ideas and family friendly events throughout the month of May.

From downtown Clarksville to the outskirts, there’s free or affordable things to do around town this month.

May 5 - July 9: Line Dancing Class

Want to learn line dancing? Kleeman Rec Center has a new line dancing program that will not only teach you some moves but give you an amazing low impact workout! Presented by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department.

When: Tuesdays from 6 pm to 8 pm

Where: Kleeman Rec Center, 166 Cunningham Ln.

Who: for ages 8+

How much: $30 per person

May 7: Clarksville Queen City Road Race

For more than 40 years, the Queen City Road has been the premier running event in Clarksville. The race features a 10K that takes participants along the Cumberland River and through McGregor Park, a 5K that features Liberty Park in its entirety, and a 1-mile fun run inside the park as well. All three courses (1 mi, 5K, 10K) are certified with USA Track & Field. 

Registration is open to the first 1,000 participants. Registration will remain open until max is reached.

Must register by April 22nd to be guaranteed a shirt.

May 7: Clarksville Scavenger Hunt

A fun-filled Saturday in Downtown Clarksville as the community comes together to support and celebrate LOCAL businesses all over Clarksville! Travel around downtown and meet the faces behind the businesses, participate in games and activities, grab a drink from one of the local breweries, and kick back for some great entertainment.

This event is FREE to the community! (Food and drinks available for purchase)

LOCAL Businesses, LOCAL Craft Beer, LIVE Entertainment, Activities for the Kiddos, Shopping, Great Food

And MUCH More!

Vendors and local businesses will be set up from 11am to 6pm. Raffle at 6pm. The live band goes from 6-8pm.

The Clarksville Downtown Market is a weekly open-air market featuring farmers and artisans who offer locally-grown fresh produce, food items, and handcrafted products. The Market strives to provide an opportunity for customers to connect with local businesses while enhancing the quality of life in our community. Enjoy live music, meet our Market mascot, “Corny the Cob,” and participate in special events on select market days.

May 20 - May 21: Kiwanis Rodeo

@ The Montgomery Co. 4-H Arena on Rossview Road.

The 33rd annual Kiwanis Rodeo is a PRCA ProRodeo Event. All proceeds from our rodeo benefit the children of our community. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $20, children under 12 years old’s tickets are $15.

The rodeo will feature the following events:

Bareback riding

Steer Wrestling

Team Roping

Saddle Bronc Riding

Tie-Down Roping

Barrel Racing

Bull Riding
